FAQs:
How long do I need to have practiced yoga to join the intensive? - This month long intensive is intended for yogis with previous yoga experience. The length of that practice is not as important as your desire to strengthen your practice, engage your curiosity, and connect to community.
Do I have to be able to do a handstand? - Definitely not! And you may or may not do one at the end of the intensive. Our version of yoga is more about the journey than the destination.
What books do I need to purchase? - The reading materials and journal are included in the price of the intensive. If you already have a copy of the Yoga Sutras please feel free to bring it along.
What if I can only make 2 of the 3 sessions a week? - While we have designed the schedule with intention, we understand that sometimes life will get in the way. It is best if you are able to make plans to attend all of the sessions however if you need to miss some, you will still be able to engage in further independent study.
What is your Covid safety protocol? - We are limiting the session to a maximum of 10 fully vaccinated individuals. The studio will be sanitized fully between sessions. We will provide hand sanitizer and soap for personal use throughout the sessions. In addition we will have a constant flow of air from open windows and fans. At the time of this writing, we anticipate that we may ask students to wear masks while practicing in studio. If there are any major changes in government mandates for Covid safety before or during the Yoga Intensive, we will move to a virtual format, delivering the classes through Zoom.
Will I be able to “keep up” physically if I have an injury or specific condition? - In line with the YogaSole philosophy, we will be teaching appropriate modifications and variations. Students with workable & diagnosed conditions who have been cleared by their medical practitioners to practice yoga are welcome to attend. We ask you to make sure that you pay attention to your body and listen to the signals that it sends.
I'm not a fan of social media. Do I have to join the Facebook group? - Not at all. The private Facebook group is an option for students to connect to one another.
