Meditation can help you reach beyond your self-imposed limitations in many ways. Although there are many methods and traditions of meditation, this workshop will focus on Zen meditation. Sitting still for a timed period, we will encounter our own minds and bodies in a different way from our usual day-to-day experience. We will also do walking meditation. We will cover the Buddha’s teachings on releasing ourselves from suffering and discontent though the practices of meditation and attention. During the workshop, there will be many opportunities for questions and discussion. Anyone can benefit from meditation. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what your physical ability is, if you practice a particular religion or not. Please join us for this workshop and find out what meditation can bring to your life.
