Letting Go of Habits Release, Restore, Reset Led by Maya Piergies

This two hour yoga recovery workshop offers a holistic approach to address the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of habitual patterns of thoughts and behavior. Informed by research in neuroscience and trauma healing, yoga recovery combines somatic and cognitive practices to start the healing process.
We begin with a gentle physical practice - breath, meditation, and movement - to release held energy from our bodies, followed by a share circle to express stored mental energy. This recovery workshop is appropriate for anyone dealing with addictive or habitual use of substances, money, relationships, technology, work, wellness, or beliefs. Whether your habits are in need of a major reset or re-examination, all are welcome to curiously and compassionately explore how we move through the world and affect those around us. Appropriate for all levels.

The pregnant body changes from day to day, offering a unique opportunity to continually refresh the beginner’s mind. This series will offer mommies-to-be tools to mindfully experience pregnancy.
We will focus on developing the specific types of strength and suppleness required for pregnancy and birth, including the pelvic floor, abdomen, low back and hips. Students will cultivate self-awareness and confidence in their own intuition.
Asana and transitions will be carefully chosen to serve the needs of the particular women in the class, taking into account the stages of pregnancy and any specific concerns or diagnoses. We will practice gentle standing sequences as well as seated and restorative poses. Modifications will be offered to address issues such as nausea, fatigue, swelling and soreness.
The SERIES will foster a community spirit, giving pregnant moms the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from each other.

Join Us for this A 2- hour workshop focusing on the needs of a runner’s body, whether you are setting out for your first miles or tackling the marathon distance (and beyond). This class features self massage on therapy balls, breath work, simple stretches, and strengthening exercises, to keep you moving towards your finish line, one foot in front of the other.

Nourish your body, mind, and senses in this two-hour workshop designed for deep relaxation. You will flow through a carefully crafted therapeutic yoga sequence to prepare the body for a series of restorative postures. Lisa will guide you to release blocked energy and shed layers of deeply held tension through restoratives, soothing music and sound, and aromatherapy (essential oils).

Thursday Mornings 8:00-9:00 AM
We will sit in 20min intervals. Please feel free to join in/leave at 8:00 or 8:30am. If you are NEW to the practice please arrive for 8:00am session. (there will be a brief introductory discussion)
Zen Meditation (Zazen) We will have 2 periods of sitting meditation, alternating with walking meditation and a short reading.
All are welcome. No previous experience is required. Class is FREE

The practice will be led by one of your Yoga Sole classmates Genno Linda King who has been practicing Rinzai Zen Buddhism for 15 years under the guidance of Eido Shimano Roshi, Abbot of the Zen Studies Society.

Credit for the cost of the series minus $50 administration fee will be given for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to workshop/series start date and may only be used to purchase yoga classes.
No refunds/credits will be given after workshop/series begins.
